Limbic Melodies
vol4: When The Levee Breaks
Originally by written by Kansas Joe McCoy and Memphis Minnie in 1929 after the Great Mississippi Flood of 1927. Laterly Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin removed and rearranged lines and line parts from the original song and added new lyrical parts again focused on the flood. In 2004, A Perfect Circle covered the song, excluding some lyrics and with different style. Each band covered the song made a variation and it became one of favourite songs ever.
I really don't know about the copyright issues of this song, but be informed that it is owned by somebody, ok? : ) The photograph is from a stock and the map shows flooded area and field of operations of the flood in 1927 is compiled by Presidents Commission and American National Red Cross.
Another wallpaper from my archive I've made for personal use.
